Opening Reception: Theme & Variations Spring Semester 2023
Artspace presents Theme & Variations: Spring Semester 2023, a family-themed group exhibition by instructor Michael Pierce’s advanced watercolor students from the Brightpoint Community College spring semester. This exhibition is on view in the Elisabeth Flynn-Chapman Gallery from June 23 - July 22, 2023.
An opening reception for the artists takes place Friday, June 23 from 6-9pm. Free and open to the public.
Instructor Michael A. Pierce’s advanced watercolor students from the Brightpoint Community College spring semester were asked to create a body of work reacting to the theme of “family.” Selections from each student’s body of work are included in this exhibition. Each student’s full body of work will be available to view on the Brightpoint Community College “Student Exhibitions” website at:

This beautiful and challenging exhibition, explores the theme of “family.” Proceeds from sales of this month-long special exhibition will benefit ChildSavers in their mission to improve the mental well-being of children through clinical treatment and education. Artspace is proud to sponsor this event and help ChildSavers continue to provide healing to children in the Richmond community.
