“I love airports. I love the shapes of the planes and the trucks and the equipment. I love the bustle, I love the story implied in the comings and goings. I like the way the outside terminals look, the shapes of the vehicles, the lines on the tarmac, and the light cast on all that busyness, the opportunity all those shapes and lines give me to interpret the images in both a literal and abstract point of view. I love mixing the two together and not worrying about which one dominates the painting.”
