Opening night is Friday, April 28, 6-9pm! Join us for snacks, refreshments, and an art activity for the whole family led by Open Space teaching artist, Dee Robertson.

Open Space Education is Richmond's only outdoor education program that combines art education and nature-based learning. Our curriculum is based on the inquiry of whether we are a part of nature or separate from nature, serving as a jumping-off point for students to connect to the natural world and each other through creativity. 

With the vision of every young person experiencing a sense of place and having access to the benefits of being in nature, Open Space is working towards creating a more equitable and connected future for our youth and the planet.

Open Space Education presents RECONNECT: Nature-based Art, an exhibition highlighting the artworks of young people in Richmond who have cultivated a connection to nature through the creative process.
