Sculptures and illustrated manuscripts

Bound/Unbound is an exhibition of new artwork by Margery Albertini and Andrea Ernest-Sheehan. These works, by lifelong friends separated for decades, involve differing interpretations of the themes Bound and Unbound. Andrea Ernest-Sheehan's works include elaborate illustrated manuscripts containing story fragments collected over decades and presented in an “unbound” non-traditional way. Margery Albertini's sculptures are made from exquisite second-hand feminine fashion elements combined with common domestic objects in an exploration of being bound by societal norms involving beauty and domesticity.

Sculptor Margery Albertini and bookmakerAndrea Ernest-Sheehan met while in graduate school at Ohio State University, their friendship grew during that time and continued as they moved apart and raised children. They visited each other often sharing their artistic endeavors and the emotional challenges of family life.
