“I have been a maker for as long as I have memories. The week before I received my BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1980, my mom ran into my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Greenberg, who asked if I had ended up becoming an artist. Mrs. Greenberg said that art was all I liked to do in class.

Now that I am retired from the corporate world, I am able to live my dream and create art full time. In recent years I have participated in Second Chances at UNOS, Near and Far at the Richmond Public Library, and Jewish Peoplehood at the Jewish Community Center. Currently I am part of a show A Show of Heads at The Virginia Beach Arts Center. I have had pieces in several local galleries in juried exhibitions. I have also participated in the ThinkSmall Show for several years at ArtSpace.

With vibrant color and a quirky aesthetic, I "sculpt" 2 dimensional images on paper or board. Colored pencils are my preferred medium for small work, and acrylic paint for larger pieces. It takes a special kind of bravery to put artwork out there. You cannot unsee something and I want to provide a moment where you are glad you saw what is hanging.”
