Artist Statement

In my art I put down in paint what is in my mind’s eye, usually in a series. The subject matter is somewhat abstract and based on my natural environment and the landscapes and people close to me. I also love to travel and these experiences demand exploration as well.  

I love to show light and shadow falling at a specific angle and I use color and loose brushstrokes in a layered process. 

Along with oil painting, I have begun to explore mono-printing and collaged mixed  media pieces.
