Ellen Cockerham Riccio
Ellen came to Richmond in 2009 to join the Richmond Symphony as Principal Second Violin after receiving her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Violin Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She was originally from Portland, Oregon.
She was the founder and executive director of Classical Revolution RVA from 2012-2018, and in 2020, she gave over 150 private violin concerts as A Violinist in Your Backyard.
In October of 2021, she launched a new music series with her string quartet, Rosette, called So Hot Right Now which highlights the music of living composers throughout the Richmond community in a variety of venues.
