Artspace continues its Satellite exhibition series at Boyd Realty Group, our new neighbor in the Stratford Hills Shopping, with a presentation of artwork by Artspace artist member Menna Beidjeu. An opening reception will coincide with Artspace's April-May exhibitions from 6-9 p.m.

Artist Statement

This show is about showing our culture, different ethnicities of women in Mauritania, and how beautiful their difference make my country.

As a Mauritanian woman artist from Northwest Africa I wish to highlight the state of populations, especially women and children. It is about using art to understand the daily life of people, while highlighting the aspects of life that concern them, creation of a work unit to promote development projects, by creating communication tools to promote the development of women and children and which cover various areas of life including education, environment, health, agriculture etc.
