Dave Didra uses a painterly process to find a balance between the natural and man-made environment. Didra creates visual tensions between form and complementary colors with the use of pure hues, gestural line, and texture. Dave Didra states: "A sunrise may spark my inspiration during my morning commute but then an intense flow of traffic disturbs the tranquil setting. I explore these contrasting and conflicting elements of harmony and discord in my work." Dave is completing his Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at VCU and is having his Thesis Exhibition at the Richmond Public Library concurrently in January.
